Dr. Charlie Dean Wilson is a university administrator, molecular biologist, Marine Corps veteran, and well-traveled global citizen. A native of Delaware, on the USA’s East coast, he is the married and proud father of five sons. In addition to science and travel, Wilson enjoys chess, languages, and officiating sports.

In the fall of 2020, I started to write some of my life story down for my sons, just in case something happened to me with the pandemic. In 2021, I put manuscript down for nearly a year, and in December 2021, I decided to finish and publish.

Delaware is a small state located in the Mid-Atlantic region (about halfway along the East Coast of the USA.) It’s a wonderful hub, with ready access to larger areas like, New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, DC. But, it’s a quite, peaceful place to escape the pace of the big city and to raise a family.
